The lambswool found in 50/50 rollers has remained unchanged. It delivers the same maximum capacity and smooth finish as the day it was introduced in 1981. The polyester, which makes up the other half of the knitted fabric, has been upgraded. It adds to the performance of 50/50 rollers by making them shed-resistant! Matting and spattering have also been greatly reduced by this change. Strengthening the fabric has made 50/50 rollers compatible with a wider range of coatings. The original blend was only recommended for low-sheen applications. New shed-resistant 50/50 covers can be used with confidence in semigloss coatings as well as with all flat or satin paints, stains, and waterproofing. There’s a whole flock of 50/50 covers to choose from, including four nap heights (1/2, 3/4, 1, and 1-1/4 inch) and five different sizes (4, 7, 9, 14, and 18 inch). Ask for 50/50 rollers at your favorite Wooster source and reach 100% production. |
| Here is a small review on Wooster 50/50 prior to the fabric change. The 50/50 has always been a top choice. |

I recently used one of the upgraded 50-50's. It did leave a very nice finish and didn't seem to have much shedding. The one thing I noticed after washing was that the fabric seemed to matt much more than the old blend. Nevertheless it is a cover.
